APM Forum publishes analysis, not recommendations. These standards set out how the guides are researched, where the figures come from, and why nothing on the site is influenced by commercial interest.
Independence
APM Forum accepts no operator advertising, affiliate commissions, or revenue-share payments. No operator is mentioned in exchange for payment, and no coverage can be bought. Because nothing depends on a reader signing up anywhere, the analysis is free to be critical — to call a bonus poor value, or a practice a warning sign — without conflict of interest.
Sourcing
Figures are drawn from primary sources wherever possible: regulators’ own licence registers, published game mathematics, independent testing laboratories such as eCOGRA, iTech Labs, and GLI, and the stated terms of the products themselves. House-edge and return-to-player figures reflect standard rules and, where it applies, optimal strategy; ranges are given where real-world figures vary. Where a number is a representative typical value rather than a fixed figure, that is stated.
Accuracy and neutrality
Guides are written in plain, neutral language and aim to explain mechanics rather than persuade. Claims about odds, terms, and regulation are checked against primary sources before publication. The site does not present gambling as a way to make money, and does not promote systems or strategies that claim to beat the house edge, because none exist.
Responsible gambling
Responsible-gambling context is part of the editorial approach, not an afterthought. Guides note where a practice carries risk, link to the responsible-gambling guide, and point to independent support services. Content is written for an adult audience (18+) and assumes gambling is entertainment with a real cost.
Corrections
If a figure or statement is found to be inaccurate, it is corrected promptly. Readers who spot an error are encouraged to get in touch via the contact page.
Updates
Regulation, licensing requirements, and product terms change over time. Guides are reviewed and updated as the landscape shifts, so that licence-verification steps, regulator references, and figures stay current.
