The night life capital of Asia it is not, but Kuala Lumpur does
not lack color. Most importantly the natural warmth of the people
of this multi-cultural metropolis shines through, where a friendly
welcome is extended to all of whatever race, creed, or nationality,
(unless you're related to Al Gore or George Soros of course!).
Unfortunately the old places with character are dying out, replaced
by the springing up of souless Western style outlets beloved by
the new generation of yuppies. Nevertheless, you can still find
the traditional Malaysian place, and the Malaysian spirit still
takes over some notable Western clone brand name outlets.

Dusty and dirty, chaotic and free spirited, this gateway to Indo
China and a city of eight million provides the most varied and
lively selection of establishments of perhaps anywhere in the
world. Unlike Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, where formula driven
themes and safe concepts make for restaurants and pubs that look
all the same, Bangkok is dotted with small intimate outlets, each
with their own character, regulars and style, along with the Western
clones. We cant possibly reflect the diversity, but here are quite
a few places to start. Bangkok boasts one of the finest jazz scenes
in the world, and locals whose love of "Sanook" and simple pleasures
will surely help guide them through the current crisis.

The business capital of the region can also be sophisticated and
elegant. Make sure you bring a well stuffed wallet to the Lion
city; the city that lost it's soul is making great efforts to
regain it, but it will still cost you a pretty penny. There is
more to Singapore than shopping and making money, and if you look,
like, ...real hard, you will find it. We've made it easier with
this selection of old reliables and new potentials..

Hard times in Jakarta indeed. But a bustling city of twelve million
is the melting pot for over 200 ethnic groups from all over the
archipelago. ..And it is reflected in the variety of restaurants
and meeting places. Like Thai's, Indonesians have soul. Whether
it is sharing satay from the hawker's trolley or Pecel Lele in
a tent by the road, or even visiting the high and low class nightspots
alike, a night out in Jakarta never fails to surprise ...and warm
the heart. Those local and foreign business people who are committed
to helping rebuild this place, deserve the best ....and Jakarta
can certainly deliver... if you know where to look....
