| Hua Hin has nice bach and it also has lots of temples, sights and attractions, golf courses and water sports. The opver the water restaurants and beach restaurants are grteat also. Night markets and a very hassle free enviroment to me makes Hua Hin easily the best beach near Bangkok. There are also lots of other beaches just south of the town and along the Sunrise Coast. It is much nicer than Pattaya.

| Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui Thailand are very commercial tourism now, beaches like Hua Hin, Koh Chang and Koh Lanta and Khao Lak are getting popular for those who want to stay in Thailand as it was some years ago, nice and friendly relaxed beach resorts. | Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui I agree are so commercial, but why do so many people go there ? Guess that is what they want, such a shame as Thailand has so many beautiful beaches, islands, towns and things to see and do. Shame !

| If you want the driest beaches in Thailand with the best summer weather then try the beaches near Bangkok along the Sunrise Coast, Hua Hin, Pranburi, Ban Krut and Bang Saphan. The Hua Hin area has the best summer weather in Thailand. Yes, even Pattaya is more Thai than Phuket these days !!!!

| For the best weather in Thailand in the Summer in July, August and September the beaches and islands in the Gulf of Thailand area have the best weather and least rainfall for islands and beaches. Koh Samui is very busy in the summer in particular in July and August because Koh Samui has good Summer weather in both July and August and is a popular Thai destination at that time of the year. The best Summer weather in Thailand is in Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.

| I could not believ Patong beach Phuket - full of western style pubs, hanburger and fries places, badly dressed tourists, loud, very expensive.
Pattaya in fact was far nicer than Patong Phuket

Hua Hin is one of the best destinations in Thailand because Hua hin has beach and nearby beaches but also has history, culture, temples, national parks near Hua Hin. Also golf courses and water sports, restaurants, shopping and nightlife, ideal family holiday destination in Thailand
