Hawker or street food can be some of the tastiest throughout Asia, providing a more local experience than that available in hotels. Tastes vary and of there are literally 100's of thousands stalls, many established for years, some opening up and closing seasonally. However we hope to get some consensus here though we all know that the best hawker food is just down the road from you! Factors to consider are value, quality, taste, and the friendliness of the staff. We suggest that hygeine and variety are less important in this category.

| I agree. There is very good cheap food in Hua Hin. You can eat at the food stalls in the night market and also there are many places for very good cheap food in Hua Hin. The seafood is excellent. Food in the night markets in Hua Hin is also very cheap .

| I agree, the food in Thailand is marvelous. You can find lots of cheap snacks which we eat during the day, then we go to a nice restaurant in the evening. Bangkok has fantastic restaurants and you can find very good restaurants everywhere in Thailand

| You can enjjoy very cheap food in Thailand, there is food at street stalls and in the markets and also at cheap restaurants in Thailand. The food in Thailand is also very good. We like that we can eat good food at any time and everyone is so friendly

| The food in Phuket was expensive even from what they call cheap restaurants, but most people were heading to the fast food and pubs serviving English or Aussie pub food, they were happy with their hot dogs, cheeseburgers and their steak and kidney pudding ! I cannot understand choosing a tropical island in Thailand and just living like it is some European or Australian holiday place

| There are travel forums and surveys for Europe, this is for Asia. Anyhow, there are good places to eat cheap in most places in Asia, the food is also very good.

| I asked before, I just wanted help to find somewhere similar that had surveys for hotels in Europe and also could suggest the best place to find hotel reviews for Europe. We are interested in France, Italy, Greece and the Greek island. Thank you for the suggestions anyway
