The Course

An innovative Master of Business Administration degree focused on Managing Business in Asia. Designed for men and women already experienced in business or professional positions and provides the high-level training vital to operate effectively in the emerging international business world.

The program consists of three semesters of full-time intensive study over 11 months. There are sixteen compulsory core units, and six elective units comprising a total of over 650 contact hours. The course concentrates on three major themes: Corporate Strategy, Tools and Techniques and the Asia Pacific Environment. Participants also have the opportunity to study a language of the region.

Successful candidates have the option of undertaking an International Business Internship Certificate by working for three months in a leading business enterprise in the region.

Faculty and Facilities

Taught by ANU’s own experts as well as visiting academics affiliated with leading universities and business schools around the world.

Situated a few minutes walk from the heart of Canberra, the capital of Australia, on a large leafy campus next to Lake Burley Griffin the ANU is a world centre for the study of Asia and the Asia Pacific Region.

A computer laboratory provides each student with access to word processing, data base, spreadsheet, and other programs, as well as to the Internet and international databases.

Admission

Applicants require a bachelor’s degree, and at least three years’ work experience, and are also advised to take the GMAT aptitude test. International applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds must provide recent results from TOEFL & TWE or IELTS. This is a full-fee paying course for all students. The fee of AUD $27,500 covers tuition, the General Service Fee, and the intensive Asian language course. It does not cover travel or living costs incurred in Australia or for an overseas internship.

The course commences mid June each year, and is preceded by an orientation program of one week.
