The Asian Institute of Management was formed in a consortium of Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University. It is now considered the Harvard of Asia, because of its use of the case method teaching and research. Its mission is to train competent socially responsible managers for Asia and to equip them with the unique tools required to be capable developers and managers of Asian economies and societies. It is committed towards making a difference in the sustainable growth of Asian societies through the development of outstanding leaders and managers who are professional, entrepreneurial and socially responsible.

The Asian Institute of Management is located in the heart of the Philippine business and financial district of Makati. Two fully air-conditioned buildings house the academic and administrative facilities, with dormitory accommodations for 270 students. Classes are conducted in eight amphi-theatre type classrooms with modern audiovisual and multimedia equipment to enhance the learning experience. Plenary sessions are held in any of five conference halls, while smaller groups meets in the numerous discussion rooms located all over the campus.

ssroom teaching, library access and individual research are supported by CD-ROM, online databases, and electronic mail through a campus-wide network. AIM links with the Internet through the Web, the global information network. Personal computers and multi-media equipment are likewise available to students for case study and research work, and both degree and non-degree programs use interactive business simulations.
