Personal Invitation to the IFTDO Annual World Conference, Kuala Lumpur

The International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO),
is holding their annual conference this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,
on the theme, New Paradigms for Human Resource Management.
It will be held from the 23rd to the 28th October at the Putra World Trade Center and addressed by the always controversial Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia, well known to many readers of this column as the architect of Malaysia's modern transformation. IFTDO is the major international organization for Training and Development organizations and the conference is always well attended. Amongst the exhibitors will be our own Asia Pacific Management Forum, and Orient Pacific Century, represented by as many APMF and OPC staffers and friends of the Rat we can muster together in one place. We offer a cordial welcome to all friends of the APMF to visit and meet us in person. If you are not a registrant, and you would like to meet us, we have several complimentary entrance tickets to the exhibition available. Just email Ms Barbara Eu. We are also happy to arrange personal meetings with you or welcome you to some of our satellite events including the TMS Accreditation Workshop. Team Management Systems will also be sharing our booth and will be represented by visitors including co-author of TMS, Dr Dick McCann (Australia) and Ms Cathy Hick (TMS United Kingdom). Also present in another booth will be partner of the Forum, MCB University Press, and we are sure Ben S'ng and staff will offer similar hospitality. Consistent with the location, the event promises to produce many papers of interest to HRD and management professionals in Asia, with a large enrolment of attendees from the Asia Pacific Region.
