First Asean Business Summit Agenda

Jakarta between March 11th and 13th is the place to be for the first ASEAN Business Summit, called to bring business and government together to discuss business and economic development in the region.

Asean CCI president Aburizal Bakrie foreshadowed major issues as being startgeic issues in the global business arena as well as the hopes and fears of the implementation of the ASEAN Free Trade Area. Organisers, the Asean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have identified 3 core sectors of growth in the region, namely tourism, food and agriculture, and the capital good industry.

The choice of "core sectors' may be a surprise to many. We will keep you informed on results from the summit
