Chuan attempts to silence the Rat... (nice try buddy!)
27th January 1999
Back to News Menu | The lengths some Asian politicans go to to prevent the Rat from reporting the lowdown on their deeds and misdeeds...! Poor old Prime Minister of Thailand Chuan Leekpai not only has had to put up with no-confidence debates in parliament, IMF mates saying they were wrong, a scolding from his Mum, and bombs thrown through his window in recent weeks, but now he has to go to extreme lengths to stifle yours truly... In a recent statement Chuan announced plans to renovate parliament house. "The last straw", he said, "came when I was entertaining Prime Minister Goh of Singapore and dicussing vital matters of state when a rat appeared un-announced in the corner of the room"... Message for Chuan and those of like minds.... I may go in the backdoor to get my tips but it will take more than a renovation and a can of RatSak to get rid of me, buddy...
