About the Rat
Asian Business Strategy & Street Intelligence Ezine

Long time editorial advisors for the Asian Business Strategy & Street Intelligence Ezine, Dr's George and Usha Haley are true itinerants. During their over 3 years of association with the forum Usha and George have expounded their pragmatic theories and advice on Asian business and marketing strategy in our part of the world during spells at the National University of Singapore, Queensland Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, and the Australian National University. Before that they were active in Latin America as well as their home base of the USA.

In the US Summer, which the Rat assumes is June to September, they will be resident at Harvard University's Economics Department where they will be delivering a course on "Business in the Pacific Rim".

No doubt they will be drawing very much on their work featured on the forum over the years including "The New Asian Emperors", their special issues on Strategic Management, and Marketing in Emerging Economies edited for MCB University Press, and their upcoming book "Strategic Management in the Asia Pacific" published by Butterworth-Heineman. (Review coming soon!)

George and Usha have their full cv's here with links to abstracts of much of their work and some full text articles. They can always be contacted via email at Usha Haley and George Haley and we know that visitors to and scholars at Harvard in the next few months will benefit greatly from the insights of our great friends and colleagues. No cloistered academics these.... Rather than writing about Asia from the relative comfort of home, George and Usha have fully engaged in the rough and tumble of the real world of which they write.
