The Electronic Intifada - human stories direct from Palestine

Looking for human first person accounts from the tragedy that is the Middle East conflict between Israel and Palestine? One place to start is the Electronic Intifada Diaries.

This is real journalism. Those who write are not professional journalists. They are just normal people caught up in a human tragedy.

In a world where objective professional analysis fails to make sense of a complex issue and there are no simple answers, these simple direct 'diaries' remind us that the world may be controlled by a few, but 'suffered' by the great majority.

The Israeli people too are caught up in the political madness, (for like all seemingly religious wars, this is nothing of the sort, it is - as are all wars - a political war) and their suffering is just as acute. The publishing of this link should not be taken as a political statement by the publishers of this website.

In the meantime, this coverage of the Middle East conflict, while of course from only one side of the equation, runs rings around the talking heads on certain global commercial sources.

We welcome suggestions of links to resources providing the other side of this tragic story.
