Enron and China
In China Reactions to Enron, "New California Media" provides some interesting reaction to the Enron scandal from a Chinese population moving fast to embrace private ownership and all the implications of it. Newspaper readers all over China know that Enron quickly went from $90 a share to $1, declared bankruptcy and left thousands with worthless paper. The reason for their fascination about Enron is that China could soon enough become the largest stock-holding population in the world and already there have been some Enron-size scandals.
