Like Tommy and Duangchalerm, Ken Lay goes AWOL

First there was Tommy in Indonesia, then there was Duangchalerm in Thailand. Fugitives disappearing from sight on the run from a world closing around them.

They found Tommy of course, after a long Indo-keystone style copper chase for more months than one can remember. The Thai cops are still at a loss (at least publically) to know where the spoiled son of one of Thailand's most well known pollies has disappeared to after have been implicated in a murder case at a Bangkok pub.

And now Enron's Ken Lay has also done the Casper trick.

Yesterday the US stock market was sold down by selling by those who no longer trust auditors or company spins any more. Asian stocks followed suit in large part. European stocks are expected to follow, while investors are pouring money into the preferred commodity of sissies - gold...

Somehow we feel we haven't heard the last of this one yet...
