Living in the Philippines

Living in the Philippines

Don Herrington is a new mate of the forum who has found his paradise in the Philippines. He moderates a lively and useful email discussion list, a favourite of several APMF writers and members.

As he says on his home page..

List members include expats who are living in the Philippines (like me), people who used to live here and plan to return, and people who have never lived here but would like to someday. The list covers a wide range of topics. One minute we’re talking about ways to improve the Philippine economy. The next minute we’re discussing building your dream house on the beach. The list is not just a great information source -- it’s a meeting place for people who share a love for the Philippines, Filipinos and Filipinas. The camaraderie is extraordinary. The knowledge gained can make you life, retirment, travel in the Philippines and your relationships with the Filipinos even more joyful.

More information on his site and resources can be found at:
Don's Living in the Philippines page

Give it a burl!

Hi,
I currently live in San Diego...
I plan on moving to Cebu sometime in september
of 2004.
I plan on having around $12,000 to $15,000
American dollars...(already a member of Philippine national Bank).
I would like to find out information on starting
a business, or even if I have enough money.
If anyone can get me starting, that would be
greatly appreciated. Br, Michael.

Greetings:

If you are specifically interested in learning more about Cebu or Living in Cebu, please visit: http://www.livingincebu.com/

There are also two other Yahoo Groups established, one focuses on Living in Cebu, as well as the surrounding province of Cebu. We started this group to compliment the http://www.livingincebu.com website. You can visit it here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/livingincebu/

---------------------

The other Yahoo Group was started by our friend Perrry Gamsby. His group is focused more on general Philippines information. You can find more information about it here: http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/streetwisephilippines/

Perry has also written a book called Streetwise Phlippines, for those who want to come to Cebu. You can find more information on Streetwise Philippines (the book) here: http://www.livingincebu.com/streetwise.htm

Thanks,

Paul and J.J. Petrea
