The APMF conference traditionally covers several venues in close proximity. Most workshops and the paper sessions will be held at the main conference venue; other workshops and meetings are held in various restaurants and meeting places close by. We are finalizing arrangements at present but the main venue will likely be the Imperial Queens Park, Soi 22 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. It is a new luxury hotel with 5 to 6 star facilities. However, cheaper accomodation (with character!) is available literally across the street and within 2 minutes walk. A variety of venues are being booked for informal meetings, certain workshops, and certain meal times.
The Sukhumvit area is 10 minutes via taxi from the business center of Bangkok, but considered by many the real heart of Bangkok with a wide range of eating, acoomodation, entertainment and cultural options. The skytrain allows easy access to most other Bangkok centers. It is also the center of the expat community.
