For those who have been following the personal lives of pollies for only a decade or so, you may be surprised to know that English Prime Ministers are just as horny as your average US President or Thai party leader from Issan - they just don't look like they could do much without a month's course of that famous blue pill. ..and they are far more discreet. It takes a few more years to catch them.

On a day in Bangkok when ex senior pollie and Thailand House Speaker Chalerm was found guilty on a charge relating to under-age boom-booms, it was a delight to see Pommie PM Tony Blair at last having a smile on his face while debate raged in the UK on revelations from conservative party notable Edwina Currie that ex PM John Major and herself made whoopie for an extended period just before his election as PM. And all while the good conservative grey-faced PM who always looked that his idea of a good time was putting his feet up before the fireplace while reading Ayn Rand, was married.

It all goes to prove that conservatives do have fun, though on the surface it looks highly unlikely. A search on Quotations dot com reveals an interesting quote from Edwina Currie printed in the UK Observer in 1988...

"...The strongest possible piece of advice I would give any young woman is: Don't screw around, and don't smoke..."

Hmmm...
